Client-Centered. Precise. Proven.

The Stratus Story

Our firm was built with the goal of putting clients first. Prior to building Stratus, we learned from the industry giants. However, we observed a troubling trend: clients consistently found themselves at the bottom of the priority list in dealings with large, impersonal commercial real estate firms. Recognizing the need for change, we swiftly stepped in to address the commercial real estate needs across Atlanta, Athens, and Georgia.

At Stratus, prioritizing our clients isn’t just a principle—it’s a practice. Your name always leads ours on letterheads, symbolizing our unwavering commitment to your success. With us by your side, you gain access to a team of dedicated professionals unafraid to dive deep and deliver results.

Unrivaled Insights: We don’t guess — we analyze. Our methodology revolves around research, analytics, and personalized customer service. We tailor our strategies to fit your unique needs, ensuring you’re always in control. But don’t take our word for it—hear directly from our clients or explore our portfolio to experience the Stratus difference firsthand.

The Stratus Difference: We don’t just make promises—we deliver tangible value. Our results-driven approach boasts a proven track record of successful closings and satisfied clients across Georgia.  We prioritize delivering high-quality service without compromising your time, energy, or resources. This why we offer complimentary property analysis and valuation with no retainer fees attached. For us, it’s not just about closing deals; it’s about fostering lasting relationships. Each interaction is seen as a continuous journey of advisory and support, where our commitment to consistent guidance ensures we’re there for you every step of the way. As testament to our dedication, Stratus is honored to be part of the 2019 Bulldog 100, hosted by the University of Georgia’s alumni association, while an internal arm, Centurion Investments, was recognized as the No. 22 fastest-growing business.

Blake Underwood, Stratus Property Group
Principal, Stratus Development Group

Blake Underwood

Blake attended the University of Georgia where he graduated from Terry College of Business with a Bachelors of Administration degree in Finance. Blake gained his experience in the real estate industry by investing his personal assets to flip and sell houses in the Athens area real estate market. When the market began to deteriorate, Blake focused his investment strategy on student-oriented rental property, and eventually began developing lots and small communities.

After several successful years in the real estate industry and turning around a struggling homeowners’ association, other investors began expressing interest in having him manage their properties and investment decisions. Blake decided to obtain a real estate license and create a full service real estate firm—Athens Real Estate Group.

Today, Blake has partnered with Jeff and Stratus Property Group to found Stratus Development Group. He uses his hard-earned, hands-on experience in the real estate industry to help his clients structure a real estate portfolio to fit their needs and to help manage that portfolio through an ever-changing real estate market.
